Sunday's at the Beach

This weekend was somehow extremely laid back, yet so full of fun!

Friday night we spent a nice little evening at home, just the three of us cooked a delicious dinner of "clean out the left overs" .

Saturday morning I started my day at Pearland Crossfit, while Dustin and Jack took Ski to breakfast.  Then Sophie and I had the day to ourselves while, Daddy played golf.  Sophie and I had so much fun playing all afternoon at the house.  That evening Nana and Bra, aka Blue, aka Black, aka Brad...Sophie calls him all of the above; joined us for dinner at our favorite local mexican place, Gringos.  The best part about living in the same city you grew up in is seeing all the faces you know when you go out to dinner, shoot just go to the grocery store or stop to fill up your gas tank, chances are you will know someone.

Sunday morning we headed to the beach.  Ski loved it.  She splashed in the water, jumped waves, built sand castles, chased birds...non stop excitement.  After a full morning at the beach we jumped into the car and headed back to our side of town.  Which worked out perfect b/c ski took a nap and when we arrived back in our home town of P-ville to eat yummy Manuel style crawfish she was in the best mood.  So, we ate a delicious lunch then stopped by Kiki and Papas for an afternoon of swimming.  Sophie is doing so good in the water, Kiki promised her that when she learned to swim she could jump off the diving board and boy, is she ready to jump.  To wrap up our weekend we had a lovely little steak dinner, prepared by Dustin and Brad on the grill.  After this post I am crawling into bed with my hubby and watching a good movie!

Happy Sunday!
