Grand mamma treated all three grand kids to a week of Vacation Bible School. Not sure about the boys, but Sophie LOVED it. Seriously she was excited every morning and so exhausted every night. She would come home about 4:30 pm and want to be in bed by 5 pm! Dustin and I felt bad about trying to keep her up so we could hang out with her.
August 1st 2014 my little girl had her first sleep over ever with someone who wasn't a grandparent! Of course, she shared this special event with Hayden, her best friend. The girls had a blast and Alyssa said Sophie was perfect. And now we have created little monsters wanting to spend the night with each other every chance they can get.
Birthday surprise for mamma. Just when I was thinking my 35th Birthday would be totally ordinary, Dustin surprised me with a weekend get away in Chi Town- Chicago. The weather was amazing low 70's in day and 60's at night. Sunny and clear weather, excellent company Tim, Kim and Ethan life was so good this weekend.
We got Sophie the American Girl package at our hotel. She was greeted by the hotel with personalize stationary, an American girl doll bed, slippers, blanket and matching blanket with Sophie embroidered on it. We had a personal shopper waiting for us at the American Girl store. Where we adopted Isabelle and Kit, along with Tutu and Grace. ( kitty and beagle) After an hour, 2 dolls, 2 pets, 7 matching outfits, hot pink hair extensions and tons of accessories all daddy had to as he was walking away shaking his head, " no comma please".
We took a private tour of Wrigley, rode the L, ate deep dish pizza, visited the John Hancock building and viewed the city from the 96th floor. And to top off the weekend saw a Cubs game, where we sat 7 rows behind home plate.
